Event Details:

Join us for WestBridge’s third Annual Run 4 Recovery 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, September 22, 2018. Select from a 5K (3.1 mile) Run or Walk or 1 Mile Walk route at the beautiful Al Lopez Park.

Our 5K Run is professionally chip timed and the Overall Top Three Male & Female finishers will received medals. We will also provide medals to the overall top male and female finishers in multiple age categories.

Our courses are paved, flat and fast with scenic views of the lakes contained in the park. Our event is family-oriented and dog friendly, however we ask that your dog remain under your supervision and on leash throughout the duration of our event. You may run or walk with a stroller, but we ask you to respectfully stay toward the back of the start corral as to avoid tripping of other participants. Dogs may run with you, but again they must be on a leash and under your strict supervision. We will host kid-friendly activities at the playground.

Every participant in the 5K run/walk and 1 mile walk will receive an official Run 4 Recovery event dry fit short-sleeved t-shirt.

Light refreshments will be provided and water stations will be available along the course.

Our event is a fundraiser and proceeds from the event will support WestBridge’s Recovery Opportunity Fund, which provides extended care for families currently receiving services to help them through the journey of recovery.

With effective dual diagnosis treatment, recovery is possible.

In 2014 an estimated 7.9 Million adults 18 and older (about 3.3 percent of all adults) had co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorders in the past year.* These illnesses are common, recurrent, and often serious, but they are treatable and people do recover.

WestBridge provides a unique approach to recovery by treating the whole person while addressing each individual’s mental illness and substance use disorder simultaneously, in the same setting, by the same treatment team.

We know that recovery is a marathon, not a sprint. Your support of WestBridge helps these individuals in the process of recovery stay in the race.
