College Support

College Support

Evidence-Based Mental Health
and Substance Use Treatment

College support is designed to provide male college students who are challenged by mental health and substance use issues with the support and treatment they need to stay in school.  The program provides customized services to meet the needs of each individual student.

The process begins with a meeting in a safe location convenient for the student, during and after which a member of the WestBridge team performs a thorough evaluation of that man’s mental health and addiction challenges. Working with the student, we develop a personalized treatment program to meet his needs and goals, which could include one or more of the services listed below, depending on the results of the evaluation.

College Supportive Goals & Outcomes

WestBridge’s college support services are designed to:

  • Lower stress
  • Reduce psychiatric symptoms
  • Decrease substance use
  • Increase motivation
  • Improve organization
  • Build family support
  • Develop liaison relationships with family and/or college personnel

By teaching symptom management in the setting of the student’s community, rebuilding support networks, and improving education skills, we help men continue their education with as little disruption as possible.
